Parents Noticeboard

09/01/2020

Dear Parents,

Following the implementation of General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) back in May 2018, the Youth Support Services Agreement data item was amended. This meant that Parents and Carers had to ‘opt-In’ if they wished for their children to receive the offered free service from Nottinghamshire Futures. This services provides career support and guidance from Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Youth Support Advisers.  The purpose of this is to  help scholars  with the transition in to education, training and employment.

This has now been changed back to an ‘opt-out’ arrangement, meaning that unless you notify us of your desire to opt out, information about your child will be shared with Youth Support and Nottingham Futures. If however you do choose to opt out, no information beyond name, address and date of birth will be shared with Youth Support and Nottingham Futures.

Please contact Djanogly reception for any further information or advice.

Thank you.

Uniform Adjustment

Due to the vast range of school trousers which are available in the shops we often have students arrive at the academy in inappropriate uniform.

Students, with support from pastoral staff are then spending time changing their trousers, or are unable to attend lessons due to their incorrect uniform. To resolve this situation and make it fair for all students we will be phasing in new DCA uniform trousers for boys and girls. These will be the same charcoal colour, but will have DCA stitched into the side of the trousers. These will be available from our uniform shop at a cost of £13.50. Full letter can be accessed here or on the year team pages.
